John Lucas’s journey in conservation began at age seven with a vision to protect wildlife. From the Kalahari’s red sands to witnessing Shoebills in Zambia and swimming with Whale Sharks, John has dedicated his life to understanding and protecting natural environments. He has collaborated with leading experts in Africa, co-authored scientific papers, and led comprehensive projects mapping freshwater ecosystems, studying predator populations, and exploring the human impact on climate.
A respected conservationist, John has received honors for his work and contribution to in conservation and youth development in Africa. As a member of the Royal Geographic Society and The Explorers Club, he continues to advance sustainable initiatives and connect people to nature. Through e4k®, John drives educational programs and expeditions across Africa, Australia, and beyond, working to bridge human and environmental needs through impactful community projects.
