The African continent is home to some of the most incredible wildlife on the planet, and growing up there gave me the opportunity to witness these animals in their natural habitats. However, it wasn’t just the animals that captivated me, but also the people at the forefront of fighting climate change, poaching, and wildlife conservation.

While pursuing a career as a conservation biologist, I realized the importance of engaging the public in citizen science, and that’s where my passion for photography and science communication began. Looking back at old family photos, I noticed a pattern of always observing something with a camera in hand and an oversized dive watch on my wrist. Today, those habits continue to drive my passion for capturing and sharing images that inspire and educate.
